Synopsis: Stanley Jordan is a visionary guitarist whose groundbreaking two-handed “touch technique” redefined modern jazz performance, allowing him to play melody and harmony simultaneously with piano-like independence. Rising to fame with Magic Touch (1985), which topped Billboard’s jazz chart for a record 51 weeks, he blended technical brilliance with warmth and musical depth. A Princeton-trained musician, Jordan has performed in over 60 countries, collaborated with icons like Dizzy Gillespie and Quincy Jones, and earned multiple Grammy nominations, continually pushing boundaries across genres, technology, and live performance.

He will be joined by Kenwood Dennard on drums and keyboards, a powerhouse musician celebrated for his dynamic versatility, deep groove, and collaborations with legends like Herbie Hancock—bringing an electrifying rhythmic and harmonic dimension to the performance.

Synopsis: O Gaanewali is a unique musical celebration of the women who defined, popularised, and immortalised genres like Thumri, Dadra, Ghazal, Chaiti, Hori, and more. These women, known as gaanewalis, carried an unparalleled legacy of artistry and emotion, shaping Hindustani semi classical music history.

The show revisits their timeless contributions, blending history, performance, and storytelling into one wholesome experience.

Curated and written by Avanti Patel, and directed by Mallika Singh and Meghana AT, the show is a heartfelt ode to legendary performers such as Gauhar Jaan, Begum Akhtar, Iqbal Bano, Shobha Gurtu and several women artists after them.

Synopsis: Lakkshya is a contemporary Indian fusion ensemble that blends the depth of Carnatic music with modern global influences. The band brings together accomplished musicians who create a rich and dynamic sound through expressive melodies, rhythmic complexity, and improvisation. The ensemble features K. J. Diliip on violin, Ila Diliip on violin and vocals, Sunaad Anoor on percussions, Gopi Shravan on drums, Vivek Santosh on keyboard, and Bruthuva Caleb on bass.

Together, they craft a powerful musical experience that bridges classical traditions with contemporary expression. Through original compositions and innovative arrangements, Lakkshya explores new sonic landscapes while remaining rooted in Indian classical sensibilities, delivering performances that are energetic, immersive, and deeply musical.

Synopsis: Trinidad-born trumpeter, composer, and cultural storyteller Etienne Charles creates music that uncovers overlooked histories and celebrates community memory. Praised for his warm tone, layered orchestrations, and rhythmic vitality rooted in Caribbean traditions, his work bridges jazz with social narrative. Through projects such as San Juan Hill – A New York Story, Gullah Roots, and Carnival: The Sound of a People, Charles transforms archival research into immersive performance, amplifying voices often absent from mainstream history.

His NAACP Image Award–nominated album Creole Orchestra topped JazzWeek’s 2024 charts, affirming his role as a leading contemporary jazz innovator. Beyond the stage, he mentors emerging artists as Professor of Studio Music and Jazz at the University of Miami Frost School of Music, shaping future generations through scholarship and sound.
